Ritsons eyes further growth as it opens to new Inverness office to bring city staff together

Chartered accountancy firm, Ritsons, which has offices across the north of Scotland, has opened a new office in Inverness in order to bring all of its staff in the highland capital under one roof.

The firm, which employs 65 staff, including 12 trainees, across its offices in Inverness, Forres, Elgin, Buckie, Grantown-on-Spey and Keith, has acquired three practices in Inverness following the retirement of their principals David Horn, Stuart McDonald and Terry and Anne Henderson.

While increasing Ritson’s head count in the city to 23 these have become spread over a number of offices and the company has opted to centralise its operations in order to facilitate further expansion in the area.

The firm’s new Inverness hub office is located in the old Red Cross building on the city’s Huntly Street.

Partner Sandra Ross, who has been with company since 1990, said: “The new office allows the team to be back together once again and provides the space for further expansion whilst having the bonus of providing parking at the door for visiting clients dropping off records.

“For existing customers the new office will just simply mean a change of address and we wish them a warm welcome to our new premises and new clients are more than welcome to come along and meet us and discuss their accountancy needs.”

Yesterday’s opening ceremony was carried out by the company’s most recently qualified member of staff.

Elaine Boag, 26, from Muir of Ord, joined the firm on a placement from Aberdeen’s Robert Gordon University and has since gone on to complete her CA training.

Moray-based Ritson specialises in providing accountancy, audit, tax and business support and advice to small to medium sized enterprises and was recently placed 17th in Scotland in an annual survey of accountants.
