Robb Ferguson Chartered Accountants has strengthened both its executive team and banking-debt capabilities for its clients with the appointment of former Barclays corporate banking leader, Andy Hall, as a director.

Born and raised in Perth, Mr Hall, 56, has spent 40 years in the banking sector, initially at RBS in Edinburgh, then, for the last 19 years, with Barclays, Glasgow, where he was deputy head of its Scottish corporate banking arm.

Robb Ferguson partner, Graham Cantlay, said: “Andy brings invaluable experience to the leadership team at Robb Ferguson and will provide banking and debt related advice, supporting individuals and owner‑managed businesses with practical, commercially focused guidance.

“His appointment further enhances our firm’s ability to provide responsive and high‑quality support to our growing client base and reflects our continued focus on strengthening our team to meet increasing client demand.”

Mr Hall said: “After many years in corporate banking I have now embarked on a portfolio-based career, and I am very pleased to have been invited to join Robb Ferguson, a much-respected name within Scotland’s business community, as a director.

“My experience and approach align closely with Robb Ferguson’s proven commitment to delivering clear, pragmatic advice to, and building long‑term and enhanced relationships with, our clients.

“This is an exciting time for the firm. The team has a strong reputation for client care and technical expertise, and I’m looking forward to contributing to those alongside supporting clients in the banking related and commercial issues they face.”
