Audit, tax and consulting firm RSM has appointed legal specialist Rachel Khiara as a partner in its growing legal practice.

Bringing nineteen years of experience in the LLP and partnerships sector, Ms Khiara will head up the RSM corporate legal team, advising on aspects of governance, financial organisation and acquisition for clients in the mid-market and professional practices sector.

A former Partner at Addleshaw Goddard LLP and Counsel with Allen & Overy LLP before founding boutique partnership and regulatory firm, Khiara Law LLP, she is recognised as a leading partnership practitioner in both the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners Directory. Her new role will involve working closely with leading RSM tax advisors to provide an integrated and holistic service to all clients.

Rachel Khiara’s appointment comes in addition to two other significant hires within the department. New team member Tristan Mutimer, a Corporate Solicitor, and Employment lawyer Charlie Barnes, will both contribute to the firm’s budding corporate services offering.

Carolyn Brown, head of RSM’s Legal Services team, said: “A leading expert in the partnership field, Rachel will play a pivotal role in the growth of our corporate legal services division. Her depth of experience will enable us to forge new partnerships and help us to better serve our current corporate client base. I am delighted to welcome her to our team.”

“With a total of three partners, two managers, a legal coordinator and two new specialists in our department, RSM has a flourishing law practice that continues to grow.”
