RSM UK strengthens Aberdeen office with key audit and tax hires

Naeema Joji, Lisa Macpherson-Fletcher, Robbie Simpson and Ciaran Fines
Audit, tax and consulting firm RSM UK has made several key hires in its Aberdeen office to support the firm’s regional and national growth ambitions.
The latest hires include Robbie Simpson as audit director, Ciaran Fines as assistant tax manager, and Naeema Joji as assistant audit manager. The firm has also recently appointed Lisa Macpherson-Fletcher as tax partner in the private client advisory team, supporting its Aberdeen and Edinburgh offices.
Robbie specialises in large complex audit engagements, supporting clients through their compliance and other assurance requirements. He brings with him 15 years of experience, most of which spent at PwC, where he worked with large international corporate and listed organisations. Robbie has a particular interest in critical national infrastructure sectors, gaining significant experience in oil and gas, telecommunications, transportation, technology and water throughout his career.
At RSM, one of Robbie’s key leadership areas as audit director will be to grow the office in Aberdeen, building long-term and valued relationships with clients and delivering high quality statutory audit and assurance work.
These latest appointments in Aberdeen reflect the firm’s continued investment in growing its team of local experts, advising clients across Scotland and nationally. Last year, the Aberdeen team also relocated to sustainable office space The Capitol, with the move supporting RSM’s hybrid working capability and future growth plans.
Robbie Simpson, audit director at RSM UK, said: “It’s fantastic to have joined RSM at such an exciting time. I am looking forward to supporting clients in Aberdeen and continuing to build on the strength of the amazing team that we have here at RSM. I plan to leverage my experience of working with some of the most complex organisations to add value and deliver an excellent service to our clients, further establishing RSM as the leading adviser to middle market businesses in Aberdeen.”
Andrew Forsyth, RSM’s office managing partner in Aberdeen, added: “Robbie brings a wealth of experience to the Aberdeen team and his appointment reflects our commitment to providing our clients in the middle market with an expert service. We’re continuing to invest in our people and hiring new talent as we work towards our ambitious growth plans, and I look forward to working with Robbie as we focus on building new relationships in the regional market.”
