SBP expands in north east after BW Accounting deal
SBP Accountants & Business Advisers (SBP) is expanding its presence across the North East after acquiring Inverurie firm BW Accounting.
The move will see SBP add about 300 businesses and individuals to its client base. It now operates across five locations in the region.
Colin Webster, founder of BW Accounting, will remain as client manager, ensuring continuity for long-standing clients while giving them access to SBP’s wider team and specialist services.
Rhys Jones, who joined SBP earlier this year as senior manager, will lead the Inverurie team, bringing more than 20 years’ experience across the finance and accountancy sector, including 14 years with Aberdeen-based Hall Morrice.
SBP has also joined We Are Inverurie BID, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the local business community and contributing to the continued growth and development of the town.
Founded in 1975, SBP has locations in Aberdeen, Fraserburgh, Peterhead and Banff and recently launched a refreshed brand and value proposition.
John Hannah, managing partner, said: “Inverurie is a natural next step for SBP.” Further recruitment is planned.
