Scott-Moncrieff has announced the immediate appointment of a new partner in its Glasgow office.

Allison Gibson has been with the firm for 17 years, joining in 1998 as a CA trainee.

Ms Gibson provides audit and accounting advice, alongside operational and technical advice, and training, to SMEs and owner managed businesses within the manufacturing, distribution, property and construction sectors. She also has a number of clients in the charity sector, focusing on the arts, care organisations and grant givers.

Managing Partner Stewart MacDonald said: “Allison has worked her way up through the business, and has rightly earned the loyalty of her clients and colleagues along the way. She has established a solid client base while developing both the team and business, and in particular, has been well placed to advise owner managers on the ever-changing landscape that comes along with challenging circumstances. With a track record of commitment and success, Allison’s advancement to partner is very well deserved.”

Alongside Allison’s appointment, a number of other team members were promoted:

  • Jennifer Alexander – Audit Director
  • David Eardley – Audit Director
  • James McBride – Audit Director
  • Barry Truswell – Audit Director
  • Jaslin Bhagrath – Business Advisory Director
  • Paul Kelly – BTC (Business Technology Consultancy) Director
  • Kirsty Murray - Tax Director
  • In addition, Shelley Hughes, who has previously worked with PwC and EDF Energy, has joined the firm as audit director.
