Business advisers and accountants Scott-Moncrieff has appointed Martin Langosch as data analytics director to support the firm’s audit and business technology consulting (BTC) departments.

Mr Langosch joins the firm from Sopra-Steria, where he used a variety of data analytics tactics to grow their digital footprint and create a data strategy for financial services clients.

Based in Edinburgh, but also working across Scott-Moncrieff’s offices in Glasgow and Inverness, Mr Langosch will support the BTC team as it implements an ambitious strategy to build the strongest business technology consulting practice in Scotland. This will include introducing new client services in the areas of data analytics, cyber-crime, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), programme assurance and digital transformation.

Scott Moncrieff said that with 16 years’ experience in the field, Mr Langosch has provided expertise across the financial sector and has delivered assignments that helped clients manage and exploit their data successfully, and has created and run training courses to enable clients to do this for themselves.

Fraser Nicol, BTC partner at Scott-Moncrieff, said: “Martin’s appointment will further strengthen our business technology team, and allow us to add data analytics to the extensive range of services we currently provide to our clients.

“The value of data analytics is huge, as it enables us to help our clients get value from the rapidly growing amounts of data that they hold, so we are delighted to be able to add this service to our portfolio.”
