Edinburgh-based Multrees Investor Services has announced two senior leadership appointments, with Martyn Johnson becoming chief operating officer and Carole Lamond appointed chief culture and communications officer.

Multrees provides bespoke custody, investment administration, and platform services for wealth managers, private banks and family offices, with revenue of £24.9 million in the most recent financial year.

In his new role as COO, Mr Johnson will oversee Multrees’ operations, technology, and transformation functions.

His expanded remit will strengthen the alignment of Multrees’ operational and technological capabilities, accelerating the evolution of its service delivery and platform capabilities.

Mr Johnson joined Multrees in 2022, before which he worked within JP Morgan’s global fund services division as a senior strategist.

In his former role as Multrees’ chief transformation officer, he played a central role advancing the firm’s technology investment programmes and enhancing client delivery.

Ms Lamond, as chief culture and communications officer, brings together the firm’s people, culture, marketing, and communications functions under a unified leadership remit.

She has served as Multrees’ chief people officer for the past five years and has been central to shaping the firm’s values and organisational culture.

She brings more than two decades of experience, including senior positions at Morgan Stanley, Tesco Bank, and Aegon, and will continue to champion a collaborative, values-driven environment.

Chris Fisher, chief executive officer at Multrees, said: “Martyn and Carole’s leadership comes at a pivotal moment for Multrees, as growing revenue and profitability enables us to invest significantly in technology, people, and processes.

“Bringing together operations, technology, and transformation under Martyn’s direction ensures we can deliver an even more responsive and scalable service to clients.

“Carole’s expanded remit will further align our culture, brand, and communications strategy, reinforcing the service excellence and partnership ethos our clients rely on.”
