Shepherd Commercial Property Auctions to launch first online auction

Shepherd Commercial Property Auctions will this week launch its first online auction, featuring 25 lots ranging in price from £35,000 to £1.5 million with a combined total guide price of £5.5 million.

In addition to 10 retail units within a purpose-built retailing parade in Grangemouth town centre at a guide price of £1.49m, the auction will feature a retail investment let to Tesco at £980,000; a former Bank of Scotland premises in Helmsdale on the famous North Coast 500 tourist route at £35,000; The Mary Kirk at Alves, near Elgin in Moray at £40,000; and a recently refurbished Brewdog pub investment in Peterhead at £95,000.

Barry Dunlop, head of Shepherd Commercial Property Auctions, said: “The fact that our first ever online auction will be held during a period when much of Scotland will be in a Tier 4 lockdown demonstrates how the market has been able to respond and adapt to the ‘new normal’ of digital on-line auctions and transactions.

“The response to the launch of our online commercial property auction has far exceeded our expectations and, as evidenced by the range and quality of properties on offer at our very first auction, validates our view that auctions offer the market a transparent and simple process for buying and selling commercial properties.

“Our first online auction represents a tremendous opportunity for enterprising developers and investors to secure a range of unique properties with exceptional potential.”

All 25 lots at the first Shepherd Commercial Property Auction feature properties that have been inspected by its local commercial surveyors throughout its office network from Inverness to Dumfries.

The auction will be held on 9 December 2020 at 2.30pm and interested parties should register online.
