SMIT eyes SpaceX windfall
Investors in Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust could see the trust begin cashing in part of its holding in SpaceX next month, after fund manager Tom Slater said trading restrictions following the company’s Nasdaq listing are due to ease.
Speaking at the trust’s AGM, Slater said up to 20% of SMIT’s holding could become available for sale after SpaceX reports its second-quarter results in August, with the proportion potentially rising to 30% depending on the share price.
