Aberdeenshire financial advisory firm Structured Financial Planning has opened a new high street office in Banchory.
The expansion marks a key milestone for the North East firm, which was founded in Banff over 20 years ago. Co-owner and financial planner Neil Stewart is head of the firm’s new Banchory office.
Managing director Richard Evans, began Structured Financial Planning with a simple but powerful vision: to provide trusted, personalised financial advice that helps people make sense of their money and live more fulfilling lives.
Today, the firm supports over 300 clients across the region and is known for its holistic, relationship-driven approach. With a growing client base in Deeside and an increasing demand for local, face-to-face advice, the Banchory office represents a natural step in the firm’s evolution.
Alongside Mr Stewart and Mr Evans, fellow adviser Ewen Grant also plays a key role in supporting clients across Buchan and Banffshire, ensuring the firm’s values and expertise extend throughout the wider North East.

“We’re excited to open our new office in Banchory, making it easier for people to have clear, honest conversations about their financial planning,” said Mr Stewart. “As a Banchory resident myself, it feels like a natural next step for the company. Many of our clients are already based in Deeside, and this new location gives us a chance to work with even more local individuals and couples preparing for the next chapter of life.”
Structured Financial Planning specialises in guiding clients through the critical years before, during, and after retirement. Offering clarity, confidence, and ongoing peace of mind at every stage. From ensuring the final working years are used wisely, to accessing income tax-efficiently, to giving clients the permission to enjoy their money, the focus is always on making retirement feel secure and purposeful. The team’s ethos is built on trust, empathy, and long-term partnership.
“Far too many people reach retirement without truly understanding what’s possible,” added Mr Stewart. “We aim to change that; to replace worry with confidence.”
Structured Financial Planning’s Banchory office will offer appointments in a welcoming, relaxed environment. The team also works closely with local solicitors, accountants, and other professionals to ensure clients receive well-rounded advice tailored to their individual needs.
To mark the opening, Structured Financial Planning invites local residents to an informal “Discovery Day” on 19-21 August between 11am and 3pm, where they can meet the team, learn more about the services offered, and explore how financial advice can help them plan with purpose.
