Taylor & Martin has expanded into Aberdeen after securing a 300-home flagship development in the city’s West End.
The property factor has opened its third office, in Westhill, as it moves to provide full national coverage across Scotland. The firm already has offices in both Edinburgh and Glasgow, as well as a presence in Dundee, Inverness and Elgin.
The expansion follows its appointment at Kepplestone, a prominent residential development in the west of the city comprising around 300 properties. The win takes the company’s portfolio to more than 17,000 flats across the country – with developments ranging from modern apartment complexes to traditional tenements.
Michael Martin, who co-founded Taylor & Martin in 2013 alongside Marc Taylor, said: “It’s brilliant to have a physical presence in Aberdeen and to have built a team there.
“We’ve long wanted to grow into the north of Scotland, and now is the right time strategically to make the move. Kepplestone gave us that opportunity. Clients actively wanted us to come to Aberdeen, which says a lot about the strength of word of mouth around our service quality.
“It’s a prestigious development and we’re proud to have been chosen above well-established factors in the area. We see this as bringing a genuine alternative to the Aberdeen market.”
Taylor & Martin operates on a flat management fee model rather than commission-based structures, designed to remove conflicts around contractor spend and provide transparency on costs for homeowners.
The firm says this approach is already paying off at Kepplestone.
David Watt, a Kepplestone homeowner, said: “Taylor & Martin has quickly demonstrated a high standard of professional, effective property management.
“They have already restored confidence that the development is being managed competently, responsibly and with genuine care.”
The Aberdeen office, which will serve clients across the wider north-east, will be led locally by industry veteran Nic Mayall, long-standing Taylor & Martin employee David Jones and local Rachel Craig, with plans to expand the team further in the coming months.
