The Quilter veteran began her career at Foster & Braithwaite in July 1985 as a dealer, which would eventually become Quilter & Co where she later became a stockbroker - ultimately giving 41 years of service to the business.

In 2013, the business merged with Cheviot Asset Management to form the modern wealth manager, Quilter Cheviot, where she worked as a dealer executing trades in both the UK and overseas markets, along with a variety of other financial products.

“Never one to seek the limelight, Geraldine was one of the kindest, most thoughtful and genuinely caring people many of us have ever had the privilege to know. Whether as a friend or colleague, she touched countless lives with her warmth, generosity, sharp wit and hugely infectious sense of fun.

“For almost 40 years, she served the investment community from the trading floor, supporting fund managers, navigating markets and becoming a much-loved and trusted figure within one of the City’s strongest trading communities. From her early days at Foster & Braithwaite through to Quilter, she remained a constant presence, admired for her extreme professionalism, loyalty and dedication.

“Her kindness, encouragement and support has had a lasting impact on so many of us and she will be so missed, our love and respect for her goes far beyond anything that can truly be captured in a LinkedIn post. Our thoughts, love and deepest condolences are with her beloved husband John, her family, and friends. “
