Anderson Strathern Asset Management (ASAM), the wealth management arm of Scottish law firm Anderson Strathern, now has £250 million under management and over 400 clients.

The firm said John Brett, former head of global distribution at Aberdeen Asset Management, who joined ASAM as chief executive in September 2016, oversaw a restructuring of the business in 2017 while making a number of senior hires including from Aberdeen Asset Management and Tcam.

The milestone was revealed as Anderson Strathern revealed that it has increased turnover for the year to 31 August 2017 by 2.5 per cent to £21.5 million, boosted by major client wins, panel appointments and organic growth across its private client, commercial and public sector practice groups.
