William Duncan Accountants, a part of the Dains Group of Companies, has appointed Graeme Bryson as the new managing partner, effective from 1 January 2024.

The transition sees Robert Fergusson, who served as managing partner since 2011, stepping into the role of evolve delivery lead for the broader Dains Group.

Mr Fergusson commented: “It has been a pleasure to manage the firm over the last 12 years or so.

“During this time, the firm has achieved significant growth which would not have been possible without the loyalty and support of all our clients and the dedication of our team to always providing outstanding service.

“I have always been a huge advocate for using cloud and AI technology and as evolve delivery lead, I am looking forward to perfecting and rolling out our Evolve initiative to the wider group.”

Mr Bryson has been a partner at William Duncan for 28 years and uses his ACA and Chartered Tax Advisor qualifications combined with innovative technology to advise and support clients with their business journeys and success. His new role will continue to be heavily client focused, with additional responsibility for managing the practice day to day, business development and ensuring continued client satisfaction.

Mr Bryson said: “Being appointed as managing partner for William Duncan is truly an honour and I’m looking forward to working closely with my fellow partners and team as we continue to grow and develop our service offerings to support our clients with their most complex challenges both now and in the future.

“I would like to thank Robert for his outstanding contribution in growing the practice over the last 12 years. During his tenure Robert has positioned the firm as one of the most digitally advanced, progressive advisory practices in the country, and I am very much looking forward to continuing to work with him in his new role.”
