Insurance services provider Willis Towers Watson (WTW) has announced a raft of promotions and expansions across its Scottish offices.

Paul Bernand has been elevated to the position of senior director. He will spearhead the corporate advisory team in Scotland.

Meanwhile, James Moreland, a Scheme Actuary who won a multi-billion pound pension scheme client earlier this year, has been promoted to director.

Ryan McKenna, who transitioned to WTW from Hymans Robertson last year, has been appointed director. He is part of the pensions transactions team and advised on the superfund transaction between Clara Pensions and Sears Pension Scheme.

In other developments, Colin Downie, a seasoned scheme actuary, has relocated to WTW’s Edinburgh office from London.

WTW has also expanded its service offerings in the Scottish market with the recent addition of Sean Gilfeather’s scheme secretarial team and the appointment of Melissa Wong to lead the project management team. Both Mr Gilfeather and Ms Wong are based in the firm’s Edinburgh office on Semple Street, which it relocated to last year.
