Lochaber Chamber Of Commerce

The introduction of a tourist tax could lead to lucrative cruise liner traffic by-passing the Highlands, and even the whole of Scotland, the Chambers of Commerce for Inverness, Caithness and Lochaber and the Cairngorms Business Partnership have warned.

The three chambers of commerce in the Highlands have joined forces to strongly oppose the introduction of a tourist tax in the region. The chambers have argued that the tax would be an unwelcome additional levy on the hard-pressed industry.
