The USA has retained its 25% tariffs on EU exports to America, meaning that Scotch Whisky will still be subjected to the controversial tariff.

Scottish whisky and salmon fillets have been included on a list written by US officials which details the potential targets for an expanded range of goods facing tariffs.

Today marks the implementation of a 25% tariff on single malt Scotch whisky.
