CMS appoints Michael Urquhart as Of Counsel to its banking and finance team in Edinburgh

International law firm CMS has appointed Michael Urquhart in the role of Of Counsel to its banking and finance team in Edinburgh.

With over 14 years of transactional experience, Mr Urquhart specialises in advising a wide range of funders and borrowers in relation to infrastructure and energy project financings, asset based lending and real estate financings.

He is acclaimed for his helpful, pragmatic, and commercial style. He has acted for clients on complex, market-leading, domestic and international infrastructure and energy projects and has in-depth experience of project financing in the transport, education, healthcare and energy sectors.



Prior to joining CMS, Mr Urquhart was a legal director at DLA Piper and spent time on secondment at Barclays.
