And finally…bad grandpa

An Aberdeen man has admitted stealing his own grandfather’s bank card and using it to withdraw £300 from a cash machine in a bizarre revenge crime after finding out his relative was exchanging “explicit” images with his ex-girlfriend.

Peter Garland, 25, appeared from custody at Aberdeen Sheriff Court and admitted that he carried out the crime after finding out his grandfather and his former girlfriend had been exchanging the pictures of themselves earlier this month.

Garland pleaded guilty to stealing his grandfather’s credit card on November 18, and using it and the PIN to take cash the next day.
