The founders of Brewdog are savouring their success after their rejection for funding back in 2008 when they appeared for a screen test for the TV show Dragon’s Den.

In a post on LinkedIn, James Watt, the co-founder of the business detailed that he and his co-founder Martin Dickie were deemed “not investment worthy” by the Dragons.

The two were prepared to offer the Dragons 20% £100,000 of funding.

Mr Watt said: “Based on our latest BrewDog valuation, that investment would now be worth almost £360m meaning the Dragon’s missed out on by far the best deal in Den history.”

Mr Watt quipped: “We got over the rejection eventually. But it took a while.”
