And finally… Red Room for more?

The personal effects of the late, influential film-maker David Lynch, who passed away in January, are being offered for auction, providing a unique insight into his idiosyncratic world.
Over 400 lots, curated by Los Angeles-based Julien’s Auctions in collaboration with Turner Classic Movies, are currently open for bidding.
Lynch’s distinctive style permeates the collection, which features home furnishings, cameras, recording equipment, and significant memorabilia from his cinematic career. Fans of his groundbreaking television series, Twin Peaks, will find items such as coffee makers, a ‘Log Lady’ ceramic mug, walkie-talkies bearing his and co-creator Mark Frost’s names, and even a red curtain and patterned rug set reminiscent of the iconic Red Room, The Guardian reports.
The sale also includes props from his films, such as Winkie’s diner menus from Mulholland Drive, matchbooks from Inland Empire, Lynch’s own 35mm print of Eraserhead (alongside ten VHS copies), and a vintage microphone used during the making of Dune. Of particular interest to film scholars are scripts and production materials for Lynch’s celebrated uncompleted projects, Ronnie Rocket and The Dream of the Bovine.
Beyond film, the auction highlights Lynch’s other passions. A custom-built five-necked console guitar, designed by Lynch himself, showcases his musical pursuits. His work as a furniture designer is also evident, with power tools and examples of his own designs listed alongside pieces by Eames and Knoll. Items reflecting his dedication to transcendental meditation, including a self-made incense burner and a Buddha statuette, are also featured. Poignantly, a selection of ashtrays and lighters is available.
