“Michael’s tenacity and personality always shine through, and it’s always a pleasure working alongside him, his promotion to director is well deserved and will allow him to drive forward our ambitions to help clients reposition buildings to NZC adding significant value.”

The second promotion recognises Ms Montgomery who began her career with Avison Young in 2015 as an architectural assistant. Her contribution to the architectural team over the last eight years has been integral to the firm’s success.

Her architectural expertise extends across various projects, including hotel renovations, office refurbishment schemes and distillery projects. Through this experience she has successfully passed her professional practice exams to become a chartered architect.

Iain King, director of building consultancy, said: “Afton has a wealth of expertise in the architectural sector, her promotion to associate director within the architectural team is extremely well deserved.

“It recognises the significant contribution made and expertise she has developed particularly on office fit out and refurbishments, including Avison Young’s own offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh and most recently in Leeds and Manchester where she was the lead designer.”
