Avison Young sets sight on future growth in Scotland with two senior appointments

Global strategic real estate advisor, Avison Young, has made two senior appointments to its building consultancy and land and development teams.

Stewart Taylor joins as a principal to lead and take forward the land and development function in Scotland, while Iain King joins as lead director of a 15-person strong building consultancy team. Both have come from CBRE and are now set to play their part in specialist advisory functions across the Avison Young Glasgow and Edinburgh offices.

With over 25 plus years’ experience in Scottish property, Mr Taylor has worked across all sectors, assisting clients on the acquisition, disposal and development of commercial and residential buildings. In his new role, Mr Taylor will head the Scottish land and development team working on a range of existing high-profile instructions and seeking out new opportunities. Prior to joining Avison Young, he was senior director of advisory and transaction services at CBRE.



Mr King’s 28-year career has seen him work across a range of commercial property sectors, specialising in project management, development monitoring, dilapidations and technical due diligence of larger pre-acquisition and vendor surveys. He will lead building consultancy team to provide tailored solutions and specialist services to suit individual client requirements, whilst aligning to the changing market conditions.
