Ben Nevis Distillery posts pre-tax profits of over £100,000 for 2021
The Ben Nevis Distillery, which stands at the base of Ben Nevis, saw its pre-tax profits reach £102,617, compared to a loss of £273,202 in 2020.
The whisky producer has seen its turnover rise to £7.2 million in 2021, compared to £6.2m in 2020.
The firm’s directors said they expected further improvements in the company’s financials as the COVID-19 restrictions come to an end. They also signified hope that more overseas visitors will visit the distillery, The Times reports.
The directors said: “Every effort has been made in 2021 to turn the company around from the loss generated in 2020 to a small profit in 2021. The directors believe the company is in a good position to continue in profit.”
The value of Ben Nevis’s whisky stocks has also risen by nearly 10% to £7.6m.
