Bk plus has appointed Calvin Bond as corporate finance partner, joining the firm’s Glasgow office.

Mr Bond will lead its Scottish deal advisory offering, advising SMEs, owner-managed businesses, private equity-backed businesses and private equity clients on acquisitions, business sales, growth funding and strategic shareholder planning.

He brings extensive experience across the healthcare, professional services and business services sectors, though his approach is sector agnostic and his work spans a broad range of industries.

His background covers both regional advisory and London-based accountancy practices, giving him wide-ranging experience advising clients across the UK on acquisitions, disposals, raising debt and equity finance, financial due diligence, financial modelling and valuations. Many of his deals have involved working with international acquirers and private equity investors.

Mr Bond said: “I enjoy helping business owners to sell, grow or transition their business, and joining bk plus gives me a strong platform to do exactly that.

“I’m excited to lead the growth of our deal advisory business in the Scottish market and the firm has a genuine commitment to its clients and a depth of expertise across its teams that I’m looking forward to being a part of.”

Kenneth McEwen, managing partner in Glasgow, said: “It is fantastic to see the growth in our Scottish teams. Calvin’s appointment in corporate finance, alongside David Meldrum’s recent arrival in our restructuring team, reflects the strength and ambition of what we are building here.

“These are experienced, high-calibre individuals who will make a real difference to our clients across Scotland, and their appointments strengthen our ability to meet client needs as we continue to grow.”

The appointment marks the latest step in a sustained period of growth for bk plus in Scotland, during which the firm has expanded into Stirling, taking its Scottish office network to eight locations.
