Carbon Group projects record £4.5m turnover after major contract wins

Aberdeen print and sustainability specialist Carbon Group is on track to top £4.5 million in turnover, a 20% increase on the previous year’s £3.8 million.

The performance is being driven by a series of major contract wins, long-term client renewals, and successful expansion into new markets. Key new agreements include a deal to supply equipment to Spirit Energy in the UK, the Netherlands, and its offshore assets, as well as a five-year contract to become the digital print partner for Aberdeen Football Club.

Managing Director Colin Yule told The Press & Journal momentum remains strong, highlighting the renewal of contracts with existing clients such as Harbour Energy, the University of Aberdeen, and St Andrews Links Trust.

To support its growth strategy, the firm recently opened a new office in Newcastle. It has also launched innovative new software, Capture AP, a cloud-based solution designed to cut invoice processing costs by up to 80%.

“The market has its challenges for us all and it’s about trying to be innovative and look for new ways of bringing revenue into the business,” said Mr Yule. “By delivering the new software offerings and the accounts payable and digital side of the business, that’s where we see quite a bit of growth.”

Founded just three months before the COVID-19 lockdown by Yule, Graham Gray, and Scott Simpson, the 22-employee company has become the fastest dealer to achieve platinum status with Canon and has also secured diamond level with Epson.
