Henderson Loggie is this week hosting accountancy colleagues from around the UK as the firm hosts the MHA annual conference in Dundee, the first time the event has been held outside London.

The Scottish accountancy firm is a member MHA, the UK-wide association of eight independent accountancy firms which is part of the global network Baker Tilly International.

Delegates will attend a drinks reception on RSS Discovery on Thursday evening where they will hear from Sandy Richardson, development director at V&A Dundee, and enjoy a virtual reality tour of the completed project, before going on for dinner in the city.

The full day conference will be held on Friday at Henderson Loggie’s flagship offices at the Vision Building, the former jute mill, part of the Waterfront development.

Henderson Loggie Managing Partner David Smith said: “I was enthusing about the changes taking place in Dundee so much at last year’s conference in London that everyone voted, there and then, to move this year’s conference to the city. The delegates will be representing 1500 professionals in the MHA association which counts major investors among the broad base of public and private sector clients. It is a feather in our cap, and a sign of things to come for Dundee, that we have persuaded the organisers to move the event outside London.”

MHA is a fast growing UK wide association of independent accountants and business advisers with a combined turnover of £112 million across 50 offices around the UK.
