Experienced tax adviser takes up senior role at Armstrong Watson in Glasgow

Armstrong Watson has appointed Clare Lancaster as a director in its private client tax team.
The accountancy, business and financial advisory firm has rapidly expanded its senior tax team in recent months, and Ms Lancaster’s is among a string of senior hires and promotions across the business.
Ms Lancaster is a chartered tax adviser and brings more than 18 years’ experience. She joins Armstrong Watson after nearly five years as a tax director at Dains in Ayrshire, and prior to that, worked at Azets and Big Four firms KPMG and Deloitte.
She specialises in assisting private clients and owner-managed businesses in a variety of areas of tax, including capital gains tax, inheritance tax and business succession planning, as well as residency and domicile matters, and dealing with HMRC enquiries.
Ms Lancaster said: “I am really looking forward to helping clients navigate all the complexities of the tax system, and supporting them in understanding their obligations so they can make informed decisions to achieve their financial goals.”
