Fiona Cameron named interim finance director at UHI Perth

Fiona Cameron has been appointed as interim finance director at UHI Perth as the college aims to navigate financial challenges.
Ms Cameron, an ACCA-qualified accountant, will take up the position with effect from Monday 9 June 2025.
Her appointment was announced last week alongside other major appointments to the college’s senior leadership team.
Ms Cameron brings over 20 years’ experience in professional finance environments, during which time she has held director of finance and other senior leadership roles.
She will be supported by Phil McNaull, who has been working with UHI Perth over the past several weeks.
As an independent financial consultant and finance director with extensive experience in the higher education sector, Mr McNaull has been assisting in the development of UHI Perth’s financial recovery plan and providing guidance to both the senior leadership team and the board.
Alistair Wylie, interim chair of UHI Perth’s board of management, said: “As Interim chair of the board, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome our new colleagues and publicly express my sincere thanks to fellow board members, staff, and students for their continued support and commitment to UHI Perth – it is deeply appreciated.
“This has undoubtedly been a challenging period for us all, and we are especially grateful to UHI as the regional strategic body, our UHI partners, the Scottish Funding Council, and the Scottish Government for their steadfast support and commitment to UHI Perth.
“The board remains committed to working closely with the senior leadership team, UHI, and our partners to ensure we are making informed and constructive decisions that support a positive and sustainable future.”
