First Group appoints new CFO

Aberdeen-based transport giant FirstGroup has named its new chief financial officer as Ryan Mangold, a former finance director at housebuilder Taylor Wimpey.
Mr Mangold will join the First Group on May 31, filling the position vacated last year by Matthew Gregory, took over the chief executive’s role from Tim O’Toole.
Mr Mangold, 47, studied accountancy at Rhodes University in South Africa.
He was finance director at Taylor Wimpey for eight years until April 2018, having arrived in 2009 as group financial controller.
Earlier, he worked for multinational mining group Anglo American and international packaging and paper company Mondi, playing a key role in that firm’s de-merger from Anglo American in 2007.
“This is an exciting time to be joining FirstGroup,” Mr Mangold said, adding: “The group’s marketplaces are experiencing a period of significant change and uncertainty.”
