Alison Cornwell CA, the immediate past president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS), has been appointed as the chief financial officer of Easttree Media.
Ms Cornwell, who led ICAS during the 2024/2025 term, brings significant financial governance experience to the newly launched investment platform. A chartered accountant who qualified with PwC in Scotland, she is a veteran of the media industry, having until recently served as CFO of Vue International for over a decade. Her background also includes senior finance roles at Disney’s international TV business and Alliance Films.
Easttree Media acquires income rights in iconic films and television shows, allowing talent and rights-holders to monetise their participation interests.
Ms Cornwell noted that she looks forward to building a platform that “blends institutional rigour with the agility of a founder-led business”. Chris Helm, co-founder of Easttree, welcomed her appointment, citing her “financial acumen, discipline and a strategic lens” as vital assets for the company’s expansion in 2026.
In addition to her leadership at ICAS, Cornwell is a former governor of the British Film Institute and currently serves on the board of Scottish Ballet.
