Glasgow-headquartered Wbg has appointed Keith Miller as partner, head of indirect tax, based in its Manchester office.
With more than 30 years of experience, most recently as Northwest VAT Partner at Azets, Mr Miller was also a VAT specialist at Deloitte, led KPMG’s M&A VAT offering across the North of England and was VAT partner at corporate finance specialists DSW.
Mr Miller said: “I’m greatly looking forward to adding my extensive VAT experience to the range of tax services Wbg can offer its expanding client base.
“I have advised clients across a diverse range of business sectors over the years, with specific expertise around land and property transactions, parking services, online transactions, financial services (including M&A VAT) and cross border transactions.
“Based in Manchester with a UK national brief, what attracted me to this role is the ambitious growth plans of Wbg’s leadership team together with the opportunity to assume responsibility for growing an Indirect Tax team as an integral part of the firm’s wider growth strategy.”
Catherine McManus, Wbg Partner and Head of Tax, added: “We are delighted to welcome Keith as partner within the tax team, expanding our in-house specialist tax services to Indirect Taxes.
“Keith’s depth of knowledge sets a new benchmark for us in this area and his years of experience in navigating complex VAT and indirect tax issues, alongside his strategic insight, further strengthens our capabilities and enhances the value we deliver to clients. I look forward to working with Keith as part of our firm-wide growth strategy.”
