Wbg makes key client acquisition and success appointments
Alexandra Mooney and Chris Malloch
Wbg has enhanced its senior team with the appointments of Chris Malloch as head of client acquisition and Alexandra Mooney as client success manager.
Mr Malloch has been instrumental in shaping and leading consumer debt advice and sales for the last 18 years in senior roles at KPMG and latterly Interpath. He is recognised for applying technology to deliver improved client journeys and more efficient operating models.
Commenting on his appointment, he said: “A big attraction of this role is the opportunity to branch out from a niche area of advice into wider service lines, bringing my experience from a Big 4 environment to an agile and dynamic firm with exciting ambitions around scale of both services and client base.
“Specialising in commercial growth through client experience strategy, I’m delighted to join Wbg at a pivotal stage in our ambitious growth plans. I sense a real niche in the market across all our service lines for a trusted partner able to deliver superior value to clients through local expertise and look forward to meeting with existing clients to understand how we can add further value as well as growing our client base with new and innovative solutions, such as the recent launch of our fractional CFO service.”
With 25 years of account management experience, Ms Mooney has a proven track record of building strong, lasting customer relationships. A specialist in customer success, retention, and securing consistent annual business growth, at Wbg she has responsibility for retaining, growing, and expanding relationships with existing clients with a focus on delivering exceptional client experiences.
She said: “As client success manager, I shall use insights to strengthen relationships, mitigate risk, and improve service delivery.
“Acting as a trusted advisor, my role involves working closely with partners, directors, and service line teams to align solutions to client needs and drive strong commercial and client outcomes.”
Welcoming the latest recruits to the team, Gordon Merrylees, Head of Entrepreneurship at Wbg, added: “These key appointments signal our commitment to investing in people and expertise – expanding how we support clients, deepening client relationships and creating new opportunities for collaboration across our client offerings and each of our locations.
“Our ambition at Wbg is to be a committed forward-thinking professional services firm, dedicated to empowering our team, utilising cutting-edge technology, and a trusted partner delivering superior value to clients and stakeholders.
“Chris and Alex bring fresh insight, energy, and ambition to our team, all of which are essential to realising our own growth ambitions and our client growth ambitions, supporting them throughout their various inflexion points as they start, scale and succeed.”
