FRP Advisory administrators secure sale of NVT Group to Aspire Technology Solutions
Aspire CFO Tom Howard and CEO Chris Fraser
A Bellshill-based IT services provider has been sold out of administration, with the transfer of the business and all 49 employees to the buyer, Aspire Technology Solutions.
Founded in 1988, NVT Group Limited provided IT managed services and consultancy to a broad client base across multiple sectors. Its core offerings included technology integration, cloud services, cyber security, data backup, and communications solutions, supporting more than 90 organisations nationwide.
The company experienced financial difficulties linked to a significant contract which could not be recovered, alongside broader cost pressures. These challenges collectively placed strain on its financial position and led to the appointment of FRP Advisory partners Michelle Elliot and Chad Griffin as joint administrators to the company on 20 March 2026.
The joint administrators pursued an accelerated sale process to preserve value in the business and protect employment. The sale to Aspire, one of the UK’s largest managed IT and cyber security service providers, completed shortly after the appointment of administrators on 22 March 2026, enabling the business to continue trading under new ownership.
The transaction ensures continuity of service for customers, with all 49 employees transferring to Aspire under TUPE arrangements.
Michelle Elliot
Ms Elliot said: “NVT was a well-established IT services provider with a strong customer base and experienced team.
“Despite facing financial challenges, the underlying business remained fundamentally viable. We are pleased to have secured a sale shortly after our appointment, with the transfer of all jobs and ensuring continuity for customers.”
Chris Fraser, chief executive at Aspire, said: “We are pleased to welcome the team at NVT Group into Aspire. They have built a strong business with an established customer base and deep local expertise.
“Our immediate priority was to ensure continuity for customers and stability for the team. By bringing the business into Aspire, we are providing a stronger platform with the scale and capability to support long term growth in Scotland.”
