Arrest warrant issued for Glasgow bookkeeper accused of embezzling over £500,000

An arrest warrant has been issued for a Glasgow bookkeeper after she failed to appear in court on charges of embezzling more than £500,000 from two local companies.

Natasha Copeland, 37, of Drumchapel, faces two charges of embezzlement spanning from September 2016 to July 2022.

It is alleged that she embezzled £458,803.66 from design firm Graven Images while employed as a bookkeeper. A second charge alleges she embezzled £63,837.46 from car dealership Mitchel Inglis Ltd, where she worked as a purchase accounts manager, The Herald reports.

The warrant was granted by Sheriff John McCormick at Glasgow Sheriff Court after Ms Copeland failed to attend her latest hearing. She faces an additional charge for a previous failure to appear at a court hearing on 12 February 2025.
