The Top 100 Northern Tech Awards league table disclosed the ranking of the fastest-growing and most successful tech companies in the region, while the Northern Stars awards highlighted earlier-stage companies with the most potential for success in the coming years.

The winners of the 2023 Northern Tech Awards include Burendo as the Fastest Growing Company of the Year, Fruugo.com as the Fastest Growing Larger Company of the Year, and Shot Scope, which won the Judges’ Innovation Award. Amiqus, named the fastest-growing tech business in Scotland in the 2022 Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50 rankings, has also been chosen as one of GP Bullhound’s ‘Northern Stars’ — technology scaleup companies to watch in the coming months and years.

Javed Huq, executive director at GP Bullhound, praised the resilience of the entrepreneurs in the Northern tech sector, which thrived in 2022 despite a challenging environment. GP Bullhound’s analysis revealed that the Top 100 fastest-growing tech companies in the North achieved an average growth rate of 42%, while the Top 10 had an average growth rate of 119%.
