Henderson Loggie adopts “game-changing” audit software

Scottish mid-tier accountancy firm Henderson Loggie has adopted what it claims is “next-generation accountancy software to add value to its audit services.

The firm’s use of Inflo marks the start of the technology company’s expansion north of the border.

While traditional audit processes work on a restricted sampling basis, Henderson Loggie says Inflo’s technology allows analysis of 100 per cent of transactions, improving speed, accuracy and quality of analysis for clients.

It is claimed that the technology makes it easy to visualise trends and drill down into data with an intuitive dashboard.

Henderson Loggie head of audit Gavin Black said: “We are a modern and progressive practice and we strive to continually drive up standards and stay ahead of the curve when it comes to advancements in the industry that can improve the value of our services, but we are also meticulous about audit quality and managing risk. To that end we have collaborated with Inflo on a trial basis over the past twelve months to ensure the software will deliver added value and increased rigour for our audit clients.

“Our decision to now embed Inflo software into our audit process means our clients now have access to the same transformative computing power as global accountancy firms and will take comfort from the greater assurance and broader insight it brings.”

Former Big Four employees Mark Edmondson and Graham Clark created Inflo to fill a gap in the market for an affordable software solution to some of the key industry challenges which would be accessible for mid-tier and independent firms for the first time. Previously software for auditors required major up-front investment in licences and specialist development.

Mr Edmondson said: “It has been invaluable to us to have worked so closely with Henderson Loggie throughout their trial phase with our technology and we are delighted that they are now fully on board as partners. Inflo is growing rapidly and we already count forward-thinking accountancy practices around the world as our clients. Scotland is a key market for us and we are excited at the prospect that other independent Scottish firms will follow Henderson Loggie’s lead.”
