Henderson Loggie has been shortlisted for two national honours, recognising the firm’s leadership, culture, and impact across the professional services sector.
The accountancy firm has been named a finalist in the Learning & Development of the Year category at the cHeRries Awards, celebrating excellence in people development and organisational culture, and in Professional Services Firm of the Year category at the British Business Awards, recognising outstanding performance, innovation, and client impact.
Henderson Loggie managing partner David Smith said: “This is a milestone moment. Being shortlisted for these awards means a great deal to us because they recognise what we care about most which is developing our people and delivering great work for our clients. I’m hugely proud of the team. Over the last few years we’ve grown strongly as an independent Scottish firm. We’ve strengthened our leadership, and our focus now is on building the next generation of leaders and preparing our people for the future of accountancy. These nominations are a great recognition of the talent and ambition across Henderson Loggie, and they encourage us to keep raising the bar.”
The firm’s shortlisting for Professional Services Firm of the Year at the British Business Awards comes on the back of a period of exceptional performance and decisive strategic change. Guided by a clarity of purpose, now Scotland’s second largest independent accountancy firm, it has delivered a 28.9% rise in turnover and a near 50% jump in pre-tax profit over three years, driven by a clear and continued focus on developing individuals and their teams and on meeting the needs of its clients.
Strategic expansion in Glasgow, Aberdeen and Edinburgh has strengthened its footprint, while a commitment to independence sets it apart in a consolidating market. With revenue and profit more than doubling over six years, and a growing ESG presence through voluntary reporting and its employee led charitable foundation, Henderson Loggie is cementing its position as one of the UK’s most dynamic professional services firms.
Henderson Loggie’s success in becoming a Learning & Development of the Year finalist at the cHeRries Awards recognises the firm’s dedication to nurturing talent and creating an environment where people can reach their full potential. Through programmes such as the Henderson Loggie Training Academy which includes the Thrive initiative which sees newly qualified professionals apply their skills in real world situations, the firm has demonstrated strengthened employee engagement and created a development culture that underpins its stated ambition to be Scotland’s first choice, both as an employer and for its clients.
Winners will be announced at the British Business Awards ceremony in Edinburgh in April and the cHeRries Awards ceremony in Aberdeen in June.
