Lloyds banking veteran joins NHS Forth Valley Board

Finlay Scott has been appointed as a member of the Forth Valley NHS Board, the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care, Neil Gray MSP, has announced.

Mr Scott brings extensive experience from a long career in financial services, working at Bank of Scotland, HBOS, and latterly serving as head of risk at Lloyds Banking Group.

He has extensive experience in risk management and of working across organisational boundaries to help ensure safe, compliant and sustainable service transformation in complex environments. He will bring his risk and change management experience, and a broad range of technical, specialist and leadership skills and knowledge, to his non-executive role with NHS Forth Valley, which serves over 306,000 people.



The part-time appointment is for a four-year term, from 21 July 2025 to 20 July 2029. It includes a remuneration of £14,352 per annum for a commitment of 52 days per year.

All appointments are made on merit and are regulated by the Ethical Standards Commissioner. Mr Scott holds no other public appointments and has had no political activity in the last five years.
