Scottish international rugby union player Luke Crosbie has announced a new sponsorship deal with Edinburgh-based financial advice and professional consultancy firm Wealth Professional.

The deal, which will see Mr Crosbie talk frankly about his experiences both on-and-off the international and club circuit, will help Wealth Professional showcase the importance of sound financial management as his sports career progresses.

He is currently a student at Heriot-Watt University reading for a degree in International Business Management and also a professional rugby player at Edinburgh Rugby. His international debut for Scotland was against Tonga in 2021 and last year he captained Scotland ‘A’ side against Chile in Santiago. In December, he became the first Edinburgh player to be voted Scottish Building Society Player of the month twice in a season. Already, this year, he has been called up for the Six Nations squad.

Mr Crosbie said: “Wealth Professional is not just a group of great people, but as a company, their values align closely with my own.

“Young professionals (whether in sport or starting out in their chosen career) need to have a strong grip on their finances and this deal (which includes financial advice!) will allow me to nurture the foundations of a secure financial future.”

Douglas Mitchell, director of Wealth Professional, added: “Luke is the embodiment of a young, up-and-coming superstar. We are incredibly proud that he has agreed to work with us! Sponsorship is an important part of our community-focused values – helping people achieve their potential.

“Luke clearly fits the bill here, but he has also been on the fringes of our network through university as we recruit many of our graduates from Heriot Watt, including this year’s intake, Will Inglis, who also played semi-professional rugby. Over the coming months, we are looking forward to supporting Luke on his exciting journey.”
