Macdonald Henderson advises on deal to data management firm
Macdonald Henderson has advised Paper Shredding Services (PSS), a Glasgow-based provider of secure, compliant collection and destruction services on its disposal to Restore Datashred, the UK data management and recycling services group.
PSS serves clients throughout Scotland across public and private sectors, including healthcare, legal, financial and education, operating a purpose-built, compliant confidential shredding and baling facility, strategically located in Scotland’s central belt.
Restore Datashred holds a prominent position in the provision of integrated information and data management, business digitisation, secure recycling of paper and technology assets, and commercial relocation solutions.
This acquisition boosts Restore Datashred’s secure paper destruction and IT recycling offering in Scotland and will be accretive to the group’s wider business strategy.
Mr Steven Hill, managing director of PSS, said: “It wasn’t an easy decision to sell a business that you’ve worked so long and hard for, but we felt that the business had run its’ course.
“Following interest from several parties, we believed that selling to Restore Datashred would be the best fit for PSSL and TSA. Now that our business will form part of a much larger organisation, offering diversified services, we’re confident that our customers are in very safe hands.”
About Macdonald Henderson, Mr Steven Hill and PSS founder Mr Ron Hill commented: “When we decided it was time to sell our business we needed to engage the services of a legal firm well versed in Scottish law and business sales to guide us through what was to become a lengthy and complicated process.
“From several sources close to us Macdonald Henderson came highly recommended. These recommendations proved to be invaluable as David (Beveridge), Eva (Fraser) and their team were excellent from initial contact all the way through to completion. We would have no hesitation in recommending Macdonald Henderson to others when it comes to business sales advice.”
