Muckle Media, the first PR agency in Scotland to achieve B Corp status, has been recognised as one of the country’s top 50 fastest-growing businesses.

Ranking 40th in Scotland in the UK Fast Growth Index, it stands as the only communications consultancy to make the regional list.

UK-wide, the agency is listed among the top 350 fastest-growing firms. This index tracks companies that have demonstrated exceptional expansion, with the 2024 cohort increasing their collective turnover by £7.7 billion in just two years (from 2022 to 2024) – a growth rate of 182%. To qualify for the list recent turnover must exceed £1 million per annum.

Muckle Media’s inclusion follows a period of rapid financial and operational expansion. The agency doubled its turnover to £1.1m between 2022 and 2024, doubling it again to £2.3m for the year ending March 2025.

In 2024, Muckle Media acquired fellow B Corp agency, Spey, nearly doubling its workforce.

Nathalie Agnew, founder and managing director, said: “Our laser sharp focus on delivering the best creative and strategic work for iconic brands, with a values led approach at our core has been key in enabling us to spot the opportunities to achieve the right kind of sustainable growth.

“We’ve accomplished a lot in 14 short years, and I can’t wait to see where we take things next.”

Muckle Media takes an innovative approach to workplace development and wellbeing, factors which have also been key to its growth, successfully implementing a four-day working week for all staff without a loss of earnings and creating a fully flexible workforce.

Professor Dylan Jones-Evans OBE, founder of the UK Fast Growth Index, said: “The UK Fast Growth Index demonstrates how a small number of fast-growing firms such as Muckle Media can make a substantial contribution to the UK’s economic landscape, providing real examples of how innovation, enterprise and sheer hard work can make a real difference in all sectors from construction to financial services to technology.

“This small group of businesses that grow quickly continue to play a significant role in driving economic growth in Scotland. They create jobs and contribute to the economic development of the communities in which they are based.

“By highlighting the success of these companies across a range of sectors, the UK Fast Growth Index emphasises the importance of supporting and nurturing the private sector in every nation and region of the UK.”
