A new financial planning business has launched in Aberdeen, bringing together almost two decades of experience and a relationship-led approach to helping clients plan for their financial future.
Fifty Financial Planning, founded by Advising Principal and Director Elaine Clunie, provides personalised financial advice to clients across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and beyond.
Operating as a St. James’s Place Partner Practice, the business is built on long-term relationships, trust and putting clients first. Elaine is particularly passionate about empowering women to become more confident in managing their finances; while helping individuals, families and business owners build, protect and preserve their wealth for future generations.
After beginning her career outside financial services, Elaine joined her father’s St. James’s Place Partner Practice in 2006 as a Personal Assistant, later becoming Practice Manager and Paraplanner. Following his retirement in 2012, she joined Buchan Wealth Management, where she qualified as a Financial Adviser in 2019 and went on to become an Advising Principal and Director of the business.
Having spent almost 20 years within St. James’s Place Practices, Elaine has built long-standing relationships with clients and established a reputation for providing clear, straightforward advice built on trust and understanding.
Commenting on the launch, Elaine said: “Establishing Fifty Financial Planning marks an exciting new chapter in my career and reflects the values that have guided me throughout the last two decades.”
“The name Fifty Financial Planning reflects a significant milestone in both my life and career. Reaching fifty gave me the opportunity to reflect on the experience, knowledge and perspective I have gained over the years and to create a business that truly reflects how I believe financial advice should be delivered.”
She added, “I am incredibly grateful for the trust clients have placed in me over the years and look forward to continuing to support them, while building new relationships across the North-east and beyond.”
