And trust in business and institutions is vital, as professional advice and skills help to shape the economy and world around us.”

The jury noted the following of Duncan Cockburn added: “For Duncan, good relationships are key to success. His leadership style focuses on the value of teamwork, ensuring that different skills are maximised in pursuit of excellence in service.”

The jury pointed to his entrepreneurial skills and agile and innovative leadership in creating a team of talent to help bring the OneBanks proposition to market.

Duncan Cockburn said: “If there’s one thing 2020 has taught us – it’s that we need people. So, we want to do something really radical to banking… Bring people back. Using open banking, we’ll be partnering with banks that don’t have locations everywhere they would like to. So, people can use their same bank accounts at our OneBanks kiosks located at the heart of the high street community.”
