Persimmon sets sights on strategic land with new director hire

Stephen Partington

Persimmon has appointed Stephen Partington as its new regional strategic land director in Scotland.

An industry expert with over 20 years’ experience in dealing with strategic land, Mr Partington joined the company from Stewart Milne Homes earlier this month.

The new regional director is joined by Susan Laidlaw, strategic land manager, and Daniel Anderson, strategic planner, who will form the experienced new strategic land team in Scotland.

Persimmon is placing an increased focus on the strategic land function within the business and has set its sights on identifying, securing, and promoting new land opportunities as part of the company’s long-term land strategy.

The housebuilder’s strong track record of development in Scotland has seen the company construct 7,500 energy-efficient new homes in the last five years and invest over £40 million in improving local infrastructure.

Adele Jacques, group strategic land director – north, said: “We are delighted to welcome Stephen to Persimmon, his industry expertise and knowledge of strategic land in Scotland is unrivalled.

“Stephen joins Persimmon at a time where there is more determination than ever to ensure our dedicated strategic land function is at the forefront of our business.”
