Phil Anderson Financial Services has expanded its team and opened a new office in Aberdeen.

The independent financial advice firm opened its new Aberdeen office at 52 Carden Place at the beginning of July. It also appointed Farai Magodo as a financial planner and Cyprus Adams as a trainee financial planner.

Magodo  previously worked with M&G Wealth as well as within an St. James’s Place practice. Adams joins the profession directly from the University of Aberdeen, having recently completed a Master of Arts in Finance and Business.

She will begin her career in financial planning with the firm while working towards further professional qualifications and gaining practical experience alongside the company’s established advisers.

The latest appointments come as the Aberdeen based firm continues to grow across Scotland and the north of England, providing independent advice across pensions, investments, mortgages, protection and wider financial planning.

Managing director Phil Anderson said: “It’s been a fantastic few months for the business. Opening our office at Carden Place was a major step for us and the response since we opened the doors in July has been excellent. Aberdeen has always been an important area for the business, so having a permanent base in the city gives us a great platform for the future.

“Farai already has valuable experience within financial services and will be a great addition to our financial planning team. Cyprus is at the beginning of his career but comes to us with an excellent academic background, and we’re looking forward to help her develop into a financial planner.”
