Robb Advisory manages solvent liquidation for Glasgow’s China Court Bakery
Stuart Robb, of Robb Advisory, has been appointed liquidator of Glasgow pastry specialist, China Court Bakery.
The business officially entered a voluntary liquidation process following a formal resolution to wind up the business. According to recent filings at Companies House, the firm has transitioned its registered office from Garscube Road to the premises of the appointed liquidator.
A spokesperson for the liquidator told The Herald that the bakery is undergoing a solvent liquidation rather than an insolvent one. This specific procedure, known as a members’ voluntary liquidation, is typically utilised when shareholders choose to close a business despite the company being fully capable of meeting its financial obligations.
Unlike compulsory liquidations triggered by court petitions, this move indicates an orderly wind-down where all debts are expected to be paid in full.
