Scottish–Indian spirits brand bolsters ranks to fuel global expansion

Nishant Sharma – founder of Rutland Square Spirits

Rutland Square Spirits Ltd has strengthened its UK and India teams with four major hires, as the fast-growing Scottish–Indian spirits brand continues its rapid expansion across two continents.

The appointments come during a period of exceptional momentum for the business, including recently reported 500% year-on-year growth, driven by rising sales in both the UK and India, the opening of a new office in Dubai earlier this year, and the company’s rapid progression to a £30 million valuation.

They also follow significant investment from Bollywood actor and entrepreneur Vivek Oberoi, whose backing has helped accelerate the company’s global growth plans. Rutland Square Spirits now employs more than 20 people globally, up from just two last year – a reflection of its steep upward trajectory.

Joining the Rutland Square Spirits family are Akansha Kumar, client service & operations executive (UK); Ruaridh Aitken, sales & marketing manager (UK); Jagdeep “Jaggy” Dhillon, business development manager (UK); and Sarang Kumar, brand manager, marketing (India), who will help strengthen the brand’s presence across India’s key metropolitan and luxury markets.

Founder Nishant Sharma said: “Rutland Square Spirits is built on people, passion and purpose.

“As we expand across both the UK and India, bringing in exceptional talent is critical to delivering on our global ambitions. We’re delighted to welcome Sarang, Akansha, Ruaridh and Jaggy to the Rutland family.”
