Glasgow-founded restaurant group, Six by Nico, is set to expand its portfolio with a brand-new restaurant in Leeds – the first for the chain in Yorkshire.

This marks Six by Nico’s 12th venue after a phase of substantial growth since its launch in Finnieston in 2017.

The inventive restaurant group, renowned for its ever-changing six-course tasting menu, will establish its new 327 sq metre venture on East Parade in Leeds. Opening its doors on 3 July, the establishment will accommodate up to 72 guests and will feature a fully stocked bar, offering a wide range of cocktails and wines, including the signature Nico’s Three Aged Cocktails.

Six by Nico owes its innovative dining concept to founder and chef Nico Simeone. Diners are presented with an affordable tasting menu that rotates every six weeks, with each iteration based on a unique theme, destination or concept. This culinary creativity has been instrumental in the brand’s growth, with locations now spread across the UK and Ireland, including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Liverpool, two venues in London, Belfast, Dublin, and Aberdeen.

The expansion to Leeds marks a notable milestone for Six by Nico, not only adding to the restaurant’s geographical footprint but also contributing significantly to the local economy with the creation of up to 60 new jobs.

Mr Simeone said: “We are very excited to be bringing the taste of Six by Nico to Leeds! The city has become a real foodie destination over recent years, which makes it the ideal location for us in the heart of Yorkshire.

“We pride ourselves on originality - Six by Nico is founded based on a carefully curated and ever-evolving tasting menu, which combines different ingredients, flavours and dishes, drawing inspiration from Yorkshire, the UK, as well as abroad.

“The aim is to bring memories and stories together, to create a brand-new dining experience every six weeks.

“We can’t wait to open our doors, and to be bringing a truly unique and unforgettable culinary experience to the people of Leeds and Yorkshire.”
